What a busy month! From your list I've only read Obsidian. I am curious what your take will be. I plan to watch Safe Haven. I really want to read Clockwork Angel. Sheesh, I thought that challenge was for Clockwork Orange, which I don't want to read. How did I mess that up? I even RT'd your tweet about it and looked up the wrong book on Amazon. I plan to hit a crime mystery book, but I think it will be my next book in the Longmire series by Craig Johnson. I'm reading Patricia Briggs right now, one of favorite authors.
ReplyDeleteIt's the most, well, after January, is the lightest month. I usually read over 8 books (lol, it's been only 4 months) and I just have 6 for now. So I feel like I could be done by the second week of May, I hope. I always think like this and leave them all for the last week
DeleteYou have much more organization with your challenges than I do. I have just been reading any book I feel like and hoping I would complete the challenges by the end of the year. Safe Haven is one of my favorite Nicholas Sparks books. It has an amazing story line and that end makes the book so hard to put down.
ReplyDeleteLol, that's probably because I joined way less challenges than you. Besides, I choose the books pretty carefully and especifically for each challenge. The others come after
DeleteI always have a hard time picking for a month. I think it's that I never know what I'll be wanting in a book. But I can tell if I have books for review or tours, that is a definite. :) Hope you have a great month!
ReplyDeleteSometimes I feel like that as well, not wanting to read something but I think of them like I have to. So I start it and I usually end up liking it so I keep reading. My mood swings are really helpful here lol
DeleteI haven't read The Infernal Devices series yet, but I really want to! I hope to get to those soon. I love Obsidian. I hope you enjoy it! Jaclyn @ JC's Book Haven.
ReplyDeleteI'm really curious about the whole Clockwork theme in books, so I'm excited to finally read one. And I hope I love Obsidian as well, since it's an alien series, and they seem to be of the good kind, sort of like Roswell
DeleteNeat how you pick your books, I have a schedule but this seems fun! I like the clockwork series by clare
ReplyDeleteMy first steampunk! I'm excited and I hope I like it. If I didn't have the challenges I don't know how I'd choose books to read. I'd be chaos
DeleteYay, Clockwork Angel! I actually just finished the book today, I was so surprised at how hooked I became. It just gets better as you keep reading so I hope you like it just as much as I did!
ReplyDeleteI am liking it, I'm starting to understand things so it seems fun, but I'm reading a chapter per day, so I can finish the others and still have this one for the whole month
DeleteDo you get to pick these books based on the general category or do they (whomever they may be) decides? Just looked up OBSIDIAN. It sounds really good! Ten bucks says she ends up falling for her "arrogant. stab-worthy" neighbor. I'll be on the lookout for the review of this one. THE THIRD TWIN sounds a bit complicated but would be a very interesting read if you can understand it!
ReplyDeleteI get to pick the books based on the general category. Except for the YABBC, the book club, we vote to choose the one we'll be reading throughout the month.
DeleteAbout Obsidian, I'm sure she does lol
I saw the movie, The Third Twin, a long time ago and I loved it so I had to look for the book. I've been trying to read it for years. I'm hoping to finish it this time, I'm already on page 195 out of 467, so that's a great start. I had not been able to get pass chapter 7 the previous times I had tried to read it. I don't know why, I'm liking it. I'm still not sure if it's confusing since I already know what's happening. But I'm curious to see how different from the movie it will be.
