Know Me Better!
Know Me Better is hosted by I am A Reader, Not A Writer
Each week she picks 5 questions for us to answer.
This week's questions:
What is the kindest thing anyone has done for you?
What is most memorable about your high school years?
Have you ever gotten up early for a "black Friday sale"?
Were you named after anyone?
Would you bungee jump, skydive or something similar?
I didn't have my computer last week and I forgot to leave things ready to just add the new questions and answers. But I'm back! Well, I've been back since Monday night but I'm back to Know Me Better lol
The kindest thing anyone has ever done for me
I feel bad that I can't think of examples. I know people have done kind things for me but I guess I'd feel bad if I left anyone out.
Most memorable about high school
It happened before we started 9th grade. We heard a teacher haunted the school and we went to his classroom. It was locked because it was in July, we were looking through the window and we heard three knocks at the door. I was the one near the door so I know I didn't do it, and we were all asking what had happened. We never found out but I had a class in his room and the first few months it was always freezing in there.
Have I gotten up early for a "black Friday sale"?
No, never. I don't know if I would though
I was named after...
My dad says he named me after a character from an old show, I always forget the name of the show but I have never found it. (For the record, my real name is not Rivie, but my real name is not common either.)
Would I bungee jump, skydive or anything similar?
No, I'm too afraid! But I just found more things to add to my fear landscape for the 365 Days of Divergent challenge!
I'm sure I have over 20 fears, oh I would not make it in Dauntless lol

Hi..thank you for stopping by. This was my first week participating. I'm with you..too afraid to even think about bungee jumping or skydiving. Great answers!! Loved the one about HS.
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming! I don't know how they do it, and I know, just by picturing me jumping I get nervous
DeleteWhat happened to the teacher that was haunting the school, according to the stories about him? Did the teacher die at school? Was it distracting taking a class in that room?
ReplyDeleteI don't think he died in school, I don't know how it happened but what they told us is that when he as alive he always said he would go back to haunt the school. Not rally distracting, probably the first day but it was pretty cold the first couple of months.
DeleteI'm going to have join in one of these weekends! I wasn't supposed to be a Robyn. My dad named me while my mom was sleeping. Their marriage didn't last that long. And a haunted classroom in high school. Wow! No ghosts at mine, they were all too afraid of the nuns.
ReplyDeleteI'd be pretty mad if my husband (don't have one lol) were to name my kids without me agreeing to a name.
DeleteLol, that and the fact that it was super cold were the only weird things that ever happened while I was there.
I would not wake up for a black friday sale either!
ReplyDeletenew follower!

Thanks for following me! I've never given it much thought but if there was something I really wanted and it was a really great sale maybe I would.
DeleteGhost teacher! Love that answer :)

Lol, thanks for coming!
DeleteOh man! I had a spooky experience too back in high school. The school's main building was said to be haunted. We were rehearsing for a play in the evening and during our break, four of us decided to venture out the "haunted" hallway on the second floor. I remember opening the door carefully because the lights were off. I decided to not go in first but instead I held the door open for my friends.
ReplyDeleteMy friends went in and then I went behind them. As I was going in, I felt two hands on my back and push me, which made me fall to the ground. I got really angry and asked who pushed me. They looked at me puzzled and then I remembered that I was the last one to go into the hallway. In other words, there was no one behind me.
Yeah, we quickly ran out of the hallway and went back to rehearsal.

DeleteYours was scarier, I don't believe in ghosts but I'm afraid of everything lol. If that would have happened to me I don't think I'd gone back to school after that
DeleteI like to think I'd be brave enough to sky dive or bungee jump, but I know that's not true. ;) I don't mind heights so much, it's just the falling and dying that scares me!
ReplyDeleteI'm not afraid of heights either but I don't like rides and I'm sure those are worse
DeleteThe school classroom thing sounds like something to remember for sure! Bet that was pretty freaky. I have never gotten up early for a Black Friday Sale either - just not worth it. I love my sleep and can't stand crowds shopping :D Jaclyn @ JC's Book Haven
ReplyDeleteI've never gone to a sale but I think it gets pretty crazy so I'd probably be annoyed by everything lol.
DeleteI don't believe in ghosts so I was trying to find a logical explanation, we just never found it.
I also feel bad when someone asks me something along the lines of that first question. I'd feel bad forgetting something or leaving someone out. OMG, I would have been so freaked out when you heard that knock! I went on a ghost tour when I was younger and was taking pictures with flip phone's camera (that's how long ago this way) of some cemetary we were at. Supposedly, at a certain time this woman ghost walks down a certain isle with a basket. She and her baby had both died during childbirth in the 1700s. I was taking some pictures but I couldn't even see the headstones because it was really dark. That night, I was going back through the pictures and literally got to the one I took of that certain isle in the cemetary at the time the woman supposedly roamed around. Before, it was pretty much just blackness, but now it definitely had a light grayish figure in the middle. I was so freaked out. I bet that freezing classroom just made it even freakier! I have some friends that go Black Friday shopping every year. I think it's just so crazy to go stand outside a store for 8+ hours, waiting for the doors to open and then be washed away in a stampede. It seems like now the stores are opening up sooner and sooner. I'd prefer my online shopping, no hassle there :) Oh gosh, I don't even want to think about how many things would be in my fear landscape. I can't wait to see your answer for that! I think sky diving would be fun. Bungee jumping sounds like a death wish.
ReplyDeleteI would have been so scared of that picture, I would have deleted it right away! Just reading your story gave me goosebumps lol.
DeleteI'm sure I'd forget fears to add to my fear landscape. I have tons but I try to ignore them as long as they don't happen
Always nice to learn more. :) I do the black friday sales...but I only started for the kids. They got things they would never get otherwise. And no, I don't wrestle and fight. Usually everyone I came across was deliriously funny from being tired. :) Thankyou.
ReplyDeleteLol, at first when I read "I don't wrestle and fight" I was confused but now I understand. That's what I was thinking, maybe if there was something I really wanted and it was a great sale, maybe I would go.
DeleteI swore I would never do Black Friday, but then a few years ago, I did. Once was enough! Now all my BF shopping happens online.
ReplyDeleteRe: bungee jumping or sky diving; I'm with you. I have no desire to do either, and I have nothing to prove. :)

Lol, now I'm curious to go at least once. Everyone has experiences about it. Thanks for stopping by!
