Feed My Reader

Feed My Reader Friday is hosted by I Am A Reader, Not A Writer to share the new ebooks we've added to our readers, computers or phones.

I only downloaded two ebooks this week. I'm starting something, I'll time myself to see how long it takes me to read each book. Every time I stop reading I make note of the time and I count how many pages I read. I want to see if I am slow and if I can pick up the pace.

Sweet Blood of Mine (Overworld Chronicles #1)
Justin Case and women do not mix. Man boobs, a love of Kings and Castles, and being tight with the "nerd" crowd certainly don't win him any points either. After rescuing Katie, his crush, it turns out she might not be the girl he thought she was, while Elyssa, the school's Goth Girl, turns out to be more. Can high school get any more confusing?
Determined to improve himself, he joins a gym and meets a sexy girl that just oozes a "come hither, Justin" vibe. Until she attacks him in the parking lot, and Justin realizes she's no ordinary girl but a being with supernatural speed and strength. After a narrow escape and an excruciating migraine headache, he wakes up with supernatural abilities all his own: speed, strength, and the ability to seduce every woman he sees.

Wraith (Wraith #1)
Freak. Weird. Crazy. These are the names tossed around seventeen-year old Jane Watts by her fellow classmates. But things aren’t always as they seem. Sometimes there’s a reason for talking to yourself in the hallway at school.
Adjusting to her new home and school after an abrupt move, Jane just wants to be like everyone else at school. Although she does manage to make one friend, Evan — sixteen, charming and protective. Evan is everything a girl could want in a best friend, with one minor caveat: He’s dead.
Caught somewhere between life and death, Evan is tied to Jane and the living world, unable to complete the journey to the other side. She thinks he’s here to be her friend, to take care of her, and that’s why no one else can see or hear him. That is, until a new boy shows up at school after a rumored stretch in juvie. Connor can see Evan and is not convinced that the ghost is completely honest. Past experience taught him how ghosts tend to need something from the humans they connect to and Evan, despite his arguments, isn’t any different.

What ebooks did you download this week?

  1. How long does it take usually to read an average paperback? I read on average 3 - 4 books per week, but all mine now are Kindle editions. I have several full bookcases and cant afford the room to buy anymore hard copies.

Nothing beats the smell of a new book though.

  2. If I'm reading a paperback at a leisurely pace it takes me 1minute per page on average. That means a 300 page book takes approximately 5 hours! I would seriously complain about watching a 5 hour movie, yet i often read books which take hours and finish them even if I didn't like them much!
Hope you work it all out!
