When U.S. Marine Logan Thibault finds a photograph of a smiling young woman half-buried in the dirt during his third tour of duty in Iraq, his first instinct is to toss it aside. Instead, he brings it back to the base for someone to claim, but when no one does, he finds himself always carrying the photo in his pocket. Soon Thibault experiences a sudden streak of luck—winning poker games and even surviving deadly combat that kills two of his closest buddies. Only his best friend, Victor, seems to have an explanation for his good fortune: the photograph—his lucky charm.
Back home in Colorado, Thibault can’t seem to get the photo—and the woman in it—out of his mind. Believing that she somehow holds the key to his destiny, he sets out on a journey across the country to find her, never expecting the strong but vulnerable woman he encounters in Hampton, North Carolina—Elizabeth, a divorced mother with a young son—to be the girl he’s been waiting his whole life to meet. Caught off guard by the attraction he feels, Thibault keeps the story of the photo, and his luck, a secret. As he and Elizabeth embark upon a passionate and all-consuming love affair, the secret he is keeping will soon threaten to tear them apart—destroying not only their love, but also their lives. Filled with tender romance and terrific suspense, The Lucky One is Nicholas Sparks at his best—an unforgettable story about the surprising paths our lives often take and the power of fate to guide us to true and everlasting love.

Finally Friday
Finally Friday is back! Well, I'm not sure if it's really back. I haven't had many thoughts this month. (That sounds weird) The thing is, I don't really talk much. I'm a quiet person, that's what people that don't know me say. My friends know that I talk a lot but to put up with it, you'd have to be friends with me otherwise you'd be annoyed. I tend to talk about things that I like, it's a problem when I'm talking to people that don't like the same things.
I'm not saying I don't know how to talk about other things, it's just I'm shy and self conscious (which I wouldn't tell you if I wasn't hiding behind my computer screen) but once I start talking about something I really like, there's no way to stop me.
Anyway, you've probably seen the posts I have at the top. I joined the 365 Days of Divergent Challenge and I've been having so much fun! The movie will be coming out March 21, 2014 and The Faction Four made a countdown challenge. There are tons of mini challenges about the first book. We chose a Faction (I chose Dauntless! I'd probably end up factionless though), we've drawn Four, shared quotes and pictures, our favorite characters and songs. There are more things to come, we only know part of them so I'm exciting to find out what else we'll be doing. I've been sharing them all in one post: 365 Days of Divergent, but I'll be creating a new one every 10 days or so, it depends on how crowded the first post gets. I'm trying not to post spoilers so if you haven't read them yet, don't worry, I don't say more than the summary explains.
I saw a tweet that said "authors love to torture us" and it made me wonder. Why are books different than TV shows? We get one episode a week and we don't complain much, also we get one season every year and they always end with the worst cliffhangers. I started comparing a chapter with an episode and a book with a season. We already wait for most sequels for a year which is kind of the same as waiting for the next season. What if we were to read one chapter per week? That would be crazy! I know it looks very different but think about it this way. Most books have around 42 chapters, shows have around 23 episodes per season. Books 1, Shows 0. The book would last longer than the show. Until you time it, an episode lasts about 45 minutes without commercials, you probably read a chapter in 30 minutes or less depending how long it is and how fast you read. I still say the episode is longer so that leaves; Books 1, Shows 1. So it's a tie really. And I'm not even going to mention when they don't have new episodes every week. So, again my question is why are books different than shows?
I wonder how the show Delirium will be different from the book. Will they stay with the first one or are they adding the others as well for the first season? I liked the first book but the ending was awful! I just couldn't believe it ended like that. And just to make sure, I went and read some discussions on the FIRST book to see what they thought about it but they kept talking about the second one. I read major spoilers and I was like WHAT?! She did what? I can't wait to read the second one and get mad at the main character lol
I started these posts 'finally friday' just to share some thoughts, whenever they came to me. I pictured it was a random post and what better day to make them than a Friday! When everyone is happy or should be, it's Friday! Ok, I'm ending this now. Thanks for reading, hopefully you made it this far ;D

Grimm Chronicles Vol 2
Today I am part of the Grimm Chronicles Vol. 2 tour. There is a giveaway! Be sure to check out the rest of the tour stops.
Book
200 years ago, the Brothers Grimm changed everything.
With the help of a little magic, fairy tales were made real, manifesting all over the world. Charming princes. Gold-hunting dwarfs. Terrible step-mothers. Heroic animals.
Then, slowly, they began to change. Everyone—from Prince Charming to the old miller—grew more evil. Corrupted. A hero was chosen to stop them, hunting them down one by one and destroying them with the help of a magic pen and a special rabbit assistant.
For 200 years, the hero’s magic pen has been passed on from generation to generation. The newest hero is Alice Goodenough, an 18-year-old junior from Washington High School. While her friends spent their summer working and having fun, Alice found herself doing battle with creatures most human beings don’t even realize exist. A giant snake. A blood-sucking prince. A terrifying half-man, half-hedgehog. Dastardly dwarfs intent on mind-controlling everyone who uses a cell phone.
Now, senior year has begun. With it comes a new challenge at school, where bullies have grown bolder and classes more challenging. As if that’s not enough, Alice must face off against a collection of Corrupted who all share a terrible secret, one that might awaken a creature capable of doing untold damage. To uncover the secret, Alice will have to face off against a man-eating lizard, a bloodthirsty sea captain, and a mysterious wizard who can see into the future …
This book contains:
Episode four: The Orphanage of Doom
Episode five: Blood and Thunder
Episode six: The Order of the Golden Dragon

Know Me Better!
Know Me Better is hosted by I am A Reader, Not A Writer
Each week she picks 5 questions for us to answer.
This week's questions:
What is the kindest thing anyone has done for you?
What is most memorable about your high school years?
Have you ever gotten up early for a "black Friday sale"?
Were you named after anyone?
Would you bungee jump, skydive or something similar?
Fixer
Today I am honored to be part of the Fixer release tour. When I first read about the book I thought it was an interesting story, I had no idea how different it would be. It's not your typical adult crime story. Keep reading to find out what I thought about it.
Book
What would you do if you could see into the future?
As a child, he dreamed of being a superhero. Most people never get to realize their childhood dreams, but Corrigan Bain has come close. He is a fixer. His job is to prevent accidents—to see the future and “fix” things before people get hurt. But the ability to see into the future, however limited, isn’t always so simple. Sometimes not everyone can be saved.
“Don’t let them know you can see them.”
Graduate students from a local university are dying, and former lover and FBI agent Maggie Trent is the only person who believes their deaths aren’t as accidental as they appear. But the truth can only be found in something from Corrigan Bain’s past, and he’s not interested in sharing that past, not even with Maggie.
To stop the deaths, Corrigan will have to face up to some old horrors, confront the possibility that he may be going mad, and find a way to stop a killer no one can see.
Corrigan Bain is going insane . . . or is he?
Because there’s something in the future that doesn’t want to be seen. It isn’t human. It’s got a taste for mayhem. And it is very, very angry.

Blog Update
As you can see I have a new banner with links to my twitter, facebook, pinterest and google + profiles. The twitter icon I got from Blogging Secret.
That also means I finally have a Rivie Bleu twitter account! I've been going around looking for twitter accounts to follow but I haven't had time to add everyone, if you follow me I'll follow you back.
Another thing I added last week (I believe) was a page with my favorite books, series I've started or read and the themes and challenges I joined this year.
I still haven't chosen a book for March's theme 'An ugly cover'. I'm a little behind on my reading, I've been neglecting my blog a little, I started running with my cousins and I usually end up having dinner and spending time with them so that takes about 4, 5 hours of my blogging time.
I also have a trip planned with them next week, the good thing about not having a job right now is I can take a couple of days and travel whenever I want, though money is kind of a problem. I'll be gone about 4 days but I'll try to keep up with posts and reading. I'll schedule the tour I have for that week before I leave and the other posts I hope I get to have at least an hour to keep posting.
I just thought I'd share the few changes I made to the blog. Now I'm going to go finish reading Under the Never Sky because the post for week one for the YA Blogger Book Club is up already.
